She is a licensed marriage and family therapist in solo private practice, where she also offers family business consulting, mediation services, and postgraduate clinical supervision and mentoring. Anderson holds a faculty appointment at Concordia University St.
Paul and was faculty at the Adler Graduate School for nearly 20 years. She worked in public relations for several years and as a freelance writer. Anderson currently serves as chair of the board of The Graywolf Press in Minneapolis.
